Youth commission passed!

Oʻahu youth between the ages of 14 to 24 now have the opportunity to serve on the Youth Commission.

What is YES On 2?

The YES On 2 campaign, spearheaded by Youth for Oʻahu, urged Oʻahu voters to vote YES on the 2020 ballot measure #2, which would approve the establishment of the City and County of Honolulu Youth Commission.

Thanks to the leadership and turnout of youth and adults alike, a majority of voters approved the Youth Commission. The inaugural class of commissioners was sworn in during the summer of 2021.

Commissioners serve either a 1-year or 2-year term, depending on the appointing authority.
