The Youth Engagement Social (YES) consisted of several tables, each hosting a different organization that works in the climate sector and offers programs for youth. Given that this was our first in-person event during the COVID-19 pandemic, the YES event also gave an opportunity for youth to connect with each other and to have meaningful discussions on the climate crisis, both which had been difficult to do during the beginning of the pandemic.

We would like to thank the Kahana Foundation for partnering with us, and the many organizations, including the Blue Planet Foundation, the Sierra Club of Hawaiʻi, Our Drowning Voices, the Young Progressives Demanding Action, and the Office of Climate Change, Sustainability, and Resiliency, who tabled at the YES event.
