Fourteen youth plaintiffs from across five islands of Hawaiʻi are currently in the midst of suing the Hawaiʻi State Department of Transportation over its failure to adhere by the state's 2030 and 2045 energy goals and ensure the constitutionally-guaranteed right to a clean and healthful environment.

At a hearing on May 25th, held to determine whether the case's trial date will be delayed, the HYCC helped arrange over one thousand pairs of shoes in a line leading from the Hawaiʻi State Capitol to the Department of Transportation's headquarters.
