bill 65

Let's pass bill 65!

Codifying the Resilience Office will help to bolster Oʻahu's defenses against climate change.

What is Bill 65?

Bill 65 clarifies, organizes, and codifies the City and County of Honolulu's Office of Climate Change, Sustainability, and Resiliency (aka., the Resilience Office). Why is this important? Well, it solidifies City commitments to taking on the climate crisis, helps to promote transparency and accountability, and fosters interdepartmental collaboration to achieve those goals.

For more information on the specific details of Bill 65, the Resilience Office provides a thorough breakdown of the legislation.

Bill 65 was passed unanimously by the Honolulu City Council on December 9th, 2020, and now awaits the mayor's signature.
